Cavazos Connector

Fort Hood has piloted a transportation revolution with the launch of the Cavazos Connector, an app-based fare-free mass-transit system operating on Fort Hood designed to enhance the quality of life for Service Members, Family Members, DoD Civilians, Retirees, and Veterans in the Fort Hood community.

The Cavazos Connector consists of two systems working in tandem: the Micro-Transit System and the Circulator Route. All Cavazos Connector buses are clearly labeled so passengers know they are riding a free fare service.

Circulator Route

This route services three high-use stops—Copeland Center, Visitor Center, and Carl R. Darnall Hospital—and completes a full cycle in 10–15 minutes. Riders can connect at the Visitor Center with off-post transit to Temple, Belton, Harker Heights, Killeen, and Copperas Cove. No reservation needed—just hop on!
