The 11th Corps Signal Brigade (“Thunderbirds”) is an element of United States Army Europe and Africa Command (USAREUR-AF). Formerly known as the 11th Theatre Tactical Signal Brigade (“Desert Thunderbirds”), it was an element of Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) before transitioning into a Corps Signal Brigade in 2021. Based out of Fort Hood, Texas, the unit’s mascot is the Thunderbird, a hawk-like bird perched upon a globe and shooting thunderbolts from its eyes. For the 11th Corps Signal Brigade, “The Sun Never Sets.”

MISSION
11th Corps Signal Brigade (11CSB) generates and rapidly deploys technically proficient signal Soldiers to support IIIAC, Joint partners, and Multinational forces anytime and anywhere. 11CSB maintains and defends the DOD Information Network-Army (DODIN-A), ensuring seamless communication for mission success.
