Thanksgiving schedule for services and facilities
Below is a list of modified hours, closures and other information for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Thursday, Nov. 25, is a federal holiday and all garrison offices other than emergency services will be closed. Friday, Nov. 26 is a U.S. Army Pacific training holiday, and 25th Infantry Division and garrison day of no significant activity, or DONSA.
Soldiers should check with their unit leadership to confirm whether they have a day off or not. On training holidays, garrison offices are open but customers going to offices with uniformed staff may experience longer wait times than usual.
Child Care
-All child development centers, family child care homes and school age centers are closed Thursday, Nov. 25.
-Child development and school age centers will offer consolidated care Friday, Nov. 26. If you need child care that day, it will be available 6 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Aliamanu Military Reservation and Schofield Barracks child development centers and school age centers. Spots are limited.

Health Care
-Desmond T. Doss Health Clinic: All clinics are closed Thursday, Nov. 25. Regular hours resumed Friday, Nov. 26.
-Tripler Army Medical Center: On Thursday, Nov. 25, only the Emergency Room will be open.
Island Palm Communities
-All offices will close early Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 3 p.m. and will be closed all day Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26. They will reopen Monday, Nov. 29.
-Maintenance emergencies should be reported to (808) 457-4075.
Off Post

Official Mail & Distribution Centers
-Both the Fort Shafter and Schofield Barracks Official Mail & Distribution Centers will be closed Friday, Nov. 26. They will resume normal operations Monday, Nov. 29.
Recreation
-Both the Tropic Lightning Museum and U.S. Army Museum of Hawaii will be closed Thursday, Nov. 25.
Retail
-All on-island commissaries are closed Thanksgiving day
-All main Exchange stores will be closed Thanksgiving day. On Black Friday, Nov. 26, the Fort Shafter PXMarket will open at 10 a.m.; and the Hickam Main Exchange and Schofield Main Exchange will open at 8 a.m.
-Two Express stores will be open Thanksgiving day including the Aliamanu Express (open 9 a.m.-4 p.m.) and the Kolekole Express on Schofield Barracks (open 9 a.m.-8 p.m.).

Schools
-All schools are closed Thursday, Nov. 25
-Friday, Nov. 26 is a school holiday and there is no school for students. Administrative offices may be open. Check with school to verify.
Single Soldier Holiday Meal
Both USOs on Fort Shafter and Schofield Barracks will hold a single Soldier Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, Nov. 25.
