SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii -- GoArmyEd (GAE), the Soldier’s online educational portal, will be deactivated Feb. 12.

Soldiers may continue to submit tuition assistance (TA) requests to GAE until 6:59 p.m. Hawaii time, Feb. 11.  Soldiers will not be able to submit new TA requests until March 8.  Requests on this date will be submitted through ArmyIgnitED, the Soldier's new educational portal.

Pending non-Letter of Instruction (LOI) TA requests that have not been approved by an Army education counselor before Feb. 12, will be transferred to ArmyIgnitED; however, the system will reject a request if not approved before the start date of the class.

The ArmyIgnitED system will be offline from Feb. 25 though March 8, and Soldiers, Army education counselors, and educational institutions will not able to access the system during this period of time.  Thus, the Schofield Barracks and Tripler education centers will be closed for Army counseling services and will be unable to serve customers during this period of time.  The computer labs, Army Personnel Testing, and college counseling services will be available.

Soldiers currently using TA who do not have an ArmyIgnitED account must create one to continue using TA or to access their TA education history.  Soldiers can activate an ArmyIgnitED account by going to www.armyignited.com and selecting “Get Started.”
