Scheduled Power & Utility Outages

#Headsup Community Advisory: Wheeler Army Airfield Scheduled Water Outage Saturday, July 13.

: Please be aware of the scheduled water outage affecting the Wheeler Army Airfield on Saturday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is necessary to reconnect Wheeler Elementary Fire Hydrant.

The following areas will be impacted: Housing on Sperry Loop, Community Center, Pool Facility, and Wheeler Elementary.

Please plan accordingly and make sure to store sufficient water for your needs during this period. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

>Experiencing an unscheduled power or utility outage?
  • On post family housing residents should call (808) 457-4075. If there is no answer, leave a detailed message. The messages are checked frequently.
  • On post barracks residents should call his/her unit's staff duty office, and call the Directorate of Public Works at (808) 787-1275 (duty hours) or the Military Police desk at (808) 864-0855 (after hours).
  • Employees/on post facilities should call the Directorate of Public Works at (808) 787-1275 (duty hours) or the Military Police desk at (808) 864-0855 (after hours).

If you live off post, call Hawaiian Electric ⚠ at (855) 304-1212 to report an electrical outage. or call the Board of Water Supply ⚠ at (808) 748-5000 to report a water main break or water outage.

Note: If you see crews working, please do not interrupt them -- this will delay the time it takes to get the issue fixed.

Here are some tips:

  • Charge your electronic devices before the outage begins.
  • Have a backup flashlight or lantern.
  • Keep your refrigerator and freezer closed as much as possible to keep food from spoiling.
  • If you have any medical devices that require electricity, please make sure you have a backup plan.
