TADSS Branch
The Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations, (TADSS) Branch mission is to provide enhanced training to all supported units/elements within the geographic area of Fort Gordon and the AR350-52, Area Support Responsibilities that are authorized account holders. The TADSS Branch provides warehousing of TADSS equipment, loan and issue of TADSS, and GTAs. The TADSS Branch manages, maintains, and provides training for the ESTII Weapons Trainers. The TADSS Branch also manages and accounts for all Installation TADSS equipment.
PURPOSE
The Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) provides support to all authorized units at Fort Gordon and all Active Army, Army National Guard, and U. S. Army Reserve units within Army Regulation 350-52. The purpose of this Standard Operating Procedure guide is to provide policy guidance to units or personnel receiving training support equipment/devices from the Training Support Center Division.
MISSION
The mission of the Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations to enhance training of all supported units/elements within the geographic area of Fort Gordon by providing authorized account holders the following:

LOCATION
TSC, TADSS Branch (Bldg # 81101) is on 12th Street in the fenced area that houses the ESTII facility.
SIMULATORS
Engagement Skill Trainer (ESTII)
The ESTII facility is located in building 81100 off of 12th street. The Virtual Training Center (VTC) is located in building 29610 on Barnes Ave. across from the Learning Center.
The ESTII is available to Active, Reserve and National Guard units, as well as required civilian organizations. The ESTII facility can be reserved by contacting the VTC at the numbers provided below. Each unit using the ESTII must have at least one trained operator per system. Instructor/operator training and certification is conducted on a regular basis by TADSS personnel. The ESTII provides training in marksmanship qualification, collective battle skills and shoot-don't shoot scenarios. TADSS operates both a ten-lane heavy and a ten-lane light weapon system at Bldg 81100. At Bldg 29610 there is a ten-lane light weapon system that can be signed for and used 24 hours, 7 days a week for training.
PROPERTY ACCOUNTABILITY
Hand Receipts
The Garrison, TSC Division, TADSS IAW Army Regulation 350-38, Training Device Polices and Management, will retain positive control and execute property accountability for all Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS). IAW AR 350-52, Area Support Responsibilities, the TSC provides area support for the Active Component (AC), Reserve Component (RC) units, Army National Guard, College ROTC and JROTC units in the state of Georgia. The TSC is authorized to execute the full range of TADSS management and service in the mid to northern half of Georgia. This includes all counties north of Bulloch, Candler, Effingham, Jones, Lamar, Meriwether, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Toombs, Troup, and Wheeler; East of Bleckley, Dodge, Jones and Twiggs.
ESTABLISHING A TSC HAND RECEIPT ACCOUNT
In order to take advantage of all the TADSS and Loan and Issue services provided by the Garrison, Common Level of Support (CLS) and Inter-Service Support Agreements an organization must establish a TSC Hand Receipt Account. Units must submit a DA FORM 1687, Notice of Delegation of Authority-Receipt of Supplies, to the TADSS facility, Building 81101 on 12th Street. All Military personal must submit an Assumption of Command or Appointment Orders as Hand Receipt Holder. Civilian personnel are required to submit a memorandum appointing them as the primary hand receipt holder for their office or section. Loan and Issue of training aids may be loaned for a period of 30 days on a temporary basis. The responsible officer or individual for the unit’s or organization’s hand receipt must contact the TADSS facility to obtain relief from property accountability when a change in personnel occurs.
POC for hand receipts, turn-ins or other related subjects is the TADSS Accountable Officer.
FORT GORDON COMMANDER’S & FIRST SERGEANT’S COURSE
The Fort Gordon Commander’s and First Sergeant’s Course is a training program designed to prepare and orient Company Commanders and First Sergeants for duty at Fort Gordon. The course provides Company Commanders and First Sergeants information on resources, policies, programs, regulations, and other requirements pertinent to performing their duties & responsibilities on the Garrison.
