The Military Justice Division provides legal advice and regulatory guidance to the Commander, US Army Support Activity (USASA), Fort Dix and his Staff regarding adverse administrative actions, non-judicial punishment, Court–Martials, and other military discipline issues. The Division also prosecutes violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) that occur within the jurisdiction of the USASA, Fort Dix’s General Court-Martial Convening Authority. U.S. Magistrate Court:

The U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey designates select Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst attorneys as Special Assistant U.S. Attorneys to prosecute misdemeanors and traffic offenses in U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey before a U.S. Magistrate Judge.  The Magistrate Clerk of Court may be reached at (609)754-8041.

Victim/Witness Assistance Program (VWAP) and Victim Witness Liaison (VWL):

The role of the VWAP is to ensure that victims and witnesses of Federal crimes, and who have suffered physical, financial, or emotional trauma, are informed of their rights, as well as receive the assistance and protection to which they are entitled under the law.  The VWL serves as facilitator and coordinator for victims and witnesses seeking information and assistance.

The Special Victim Counsel Program was developed to strengthen the support of victims of sexual assault and enhance their rights within our military justice system. The role of a Special Victim Counsel (SVC) is to zealously represent the client's interests throughout the military justice process.
