Ms. Cherie Westphal

Ms. Westphal assumed the role of Deputy Garrison Manager at the Detroit Arsenal in January 2021.  With more than 23 years of experience serving at military installations around the globe, she is currently responsible for help in managing all installation management services and base operations at Detroit Arsenal. 

Her previous assignment was as the Chief of the Plans Analysis and Integration Office, U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii from June 2019 to January 2021.  In this position she led the strategic planning, organizational improvement and Knowledge Management program of the Garrison. Prior to U.S. Army Hawaii, Ms. Westphal worked in multiple positions in Installation Management Command supporting military families around the globe.  Assignments include leadership, personnel and analyst positions in Korea, Germany, Schofield Barracks Hawaii and San Antonio, TX.

Cherie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.  She has completed all Civilian Education System courses and is an IMCOM Stalwart winner.  She is married to 1SG (USA (Ret) Doug Westphal and has three children.
