WHAT TO DO IN AN EMERGENCY WITHIN KOREA
Stay calm and make sure you are in a safe location.
Call one of the following emergency reporting numbers:
On Post Emergency Center
- Dial 9 - 1 - 1 from any DSN line
- Dial 0503-364-5911 from your mobile phone
- Dialing 9-1-1 from a mobile phone gets automatically directed to the 119 Korean Emergency Center, which will delay on post emergency response.
Off Post KOREAN Emergency Center
- Dial 1 - 1 - 9 and ask for an English Translator
- You can dial 0503-364-5911 with off post emergencies. English speaking dispatchers can help facilitate Emergency Services.
When reporting an Emergency, provide the dispatcher with the following information:
- Nature of Emergency (Medical, Fire, Police Request)
- Location of Incident (Bldg #, Bldg Name, Room #, etc.)
- Your name and the spelling of your name
- Best phone number to call you back, in case the responders need additional information
