The 4ID Modern Army Combatives Program trains “Ivy” and Fort Carson Soldiers, NCOs and officers in close quarters combatives in order to instill the Warrior Ethos and prepare them to close with and defeat the enemy in hand-to-hand combat. 4ID Combatives provides Basic and Tactical Combatives Courses (former level 1 and level 2). Master Combatives Course is reserved at Fort Benning, Georgia. 4ID MACP additionally provides on request supervision for unit Combatives Physical Training sessions, manages the Ivy Week Combatives Contest and prepares 4ID and Fort Carson teams for the Lacerta Cup.
