Who We Are
We are The Originals; the nation's first Special Forces Group with a proud and storied history. We are the Nation's force of choice for difficult and dangerous missions that require a partnered approach in competition, crisis, and conflict. Our relationships and access provide commanders unique options while offering relative advantage in the human and information dimensions. We build lethal friendly networks to coerce, disrupt, and destroy enemy networks and systems. We are experts in the fundamentals of combined arms warfighting and are at the leading edge of developing new lethal capabilities for modern warfare.
Our Mission
10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) prepares and delivers combat-ready units of action to compete short of conflict, respond to crises, and to enable the Joint Force to fight and win in large scale combat operations.
Command Principles
To succeed in the fundamentally human business of building, developing, and employing lethal friendly networks, I believe we must serve with integrity, pursue excellence in all that we do, and be great teammates.
(a) Serve with integrity by upholding the Army values and keeping faith with our proud history and reputation. Trust is the essential ingredient in meaningful relationships and the bedrock of mission command. When we speak the truth, act with courage and humility, and are guided by higher principles than our own self-interest, we lay the foundations for trust.
(b) Pursue excellence by earning the gift of belonging in this elite formation every day through striving to be better than we were yesterday - we participate in a culture of achievement, not entitlement. We recognize excellence in our teammates and promote their talent.
(c) Be great teammates by recognizing the many teams we belong to at every echelon. You are on my team, we belong to the 1st SFC(A) team and ultimately, we are on the USSOCOM and Army teams. At every level, our trust in one another, accountability to each other, and ownership of our responsibilities make us teammates that others are excited to serve with.
