The Police and Provost Marshal Division provides highly proficient police officers, and a proactive and professional level of police service ensuring safety through commitment, integrity and trust. Services

Patrol Branch

The Patrol Branch provides proactive and professional police serves to the community, ensuring safety through commitment, integrity and trust. Patrol support can be requested 24/7 through the Fort Carson Consolidated Dispatch at 719-526-2333. The Patrol Branch Chief is available at 719-526-0091.

Police Desk

The Police Desk is the central hub of any law enforcement activity, responsible for receiving and recording complaints, maintaining the desk blotter, controlling offenders in custody, monitoring the detention cells, keeping the PPMD and DES team informed of major incidents as they unfold and managing the flow and quality control of law enforcement reports. The Police Desk is located in building 2700 and can be reached at 719-526-6199.

Traffic Management and Collision Investigation Section

The Traffic Section is a specialized portion of the Patrol Branch that documents and investigates traffic accidents. The Traffic Section is located in building 2700 and the Duty Investigator can be reached 24/7 through the Fort Carson Consolidated Dispatch at 719-526-2333. The Section Chief is available at 719-526-1774. Other services provided by the Traffic Section include:

Operations

The Operations Branch provides overall mission support of police operations, conducts police and security related planning, employs police assets in support of major functions and conducts staff coordination with units, law enforcement agencies, and civilian organizations. The Operations Branch is located in building 2700 and the branch chief is available at 719-524-4411.

Police Records

The Police and Provost Marshal Records Section accurately processes, stores and disseminates law enforcement records to a variety of sources, including commanders, attorneys, courts, individuals and the United States Army Crime Records Center. The Police Records Section is located in Module 4 of building 2757 and can be reached at 719-526-8289 or usarmy.carson.imcom.mbx.des-ppmd-records@army.mil, 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m., Monday-Friday (federal holidays excluded).

Services provided by the Police Records Section include:

Soldier and civilian clearing
First person case requests
Local records and background checks
Central Violations Bureau Notice (citation) processing
Installation barment/driving suspension processing and information

Military Police Investigations (MPI)

The Investigations Branch conducts criminal investigations into misdemeanor and minor felony violations of the Uniformed Code of Military Justice, Colorado Revised Statutes and the United States Code. MPI is located in building 2700 and the duty investigator can be reached 24/7 through the Fort Carson Consolidated Dispatch at 719-526-2333. The branch chief is available at 719-526-2081.

AWOL Apprehension

The AWOL Apprehension Section processes personnel actions and documentation for Soldiers declared Absent Without Leave (AWOL)/Deserter or have been confined by a Civilian Confinement Authority (CCA) or Military Confinement Authority (CMA). AWOL Apprehension Section can be contacted at 719-526-0606, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday (excluding federal holidays).

School Resource Officer (SRO) Program

SROs provide law enforcement, security and crime prevention for the elementary and middle schools located on Fort Carson. An SRO can be reached from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday through the Fort Carson Consolidated Dispatch at 719-526-2333.

Conservation Law Enforcement Program (CLEP)

The CLEP actively enforces local, state and federal environmental, natural and cultural resource laws and regulations in order to ensure the sustained use of military lands for readiness training. The CLEP Branch is located in building 9665 and CLEP support is provided through the Fort Carson Consolidated Dispatch at 719-526-2333. The branch chief is available at 719-503-9250.
