On Oct. 9-10, 2025, the 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss and the Soldier for Life-Retirement Services Office hosts a Golf Tournament at the Underwood Golf Complex, and Retiree Appreciation Day (RAD) in conjunction with a Career/Job Fair at the Centennial Club and Conference Center to provide valuable information and opportunities to Retirees, Family Members and Survivors.

- Oct. 10, 8 a.m., Retiree Appreciation Day at Centennial Banquet and Conference Center, 11199 Sergeant E. Churchill Street, Fort Bliss, begins with a breakfast followed by valuable information concerning legislative issues of interest regarding military benefits, health care, Veteran/Survivor issues, installation updates, and local services available.

National Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Recognition Day was established in 1979 through proclamation signed by President Jimmy Carter. Since then, each subsequent president has issued an annual proclamation commemorating the third Friday in September as National POW/MIA Recognition Day.
On Sep 19, 2025, at 9 a.m., 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss is conducting their annual POW/MIA Day Ceremony at Memorial Circle (313 Pershing Circle) honoring all service members captured or missing in action during their service to our great nation.
The event is free to attend and open to the public. For those who do not already have one, don't forget to pick up your Community Access Pass.
The 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss is conducting a 50-gun Salute to the Union at Memorial Circle on west Fort Bliss in commemoration of the Declaration of Independence, July 4, at 11:45 a.m.
