So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Goodbye~
After more than 60 years of post-war partnership, the German Air Force Air Defense Center at Bliss ceremoniously closed its doors with a final Color Casing ceremony, May 17.
German Air Force and Army leaders and troops were joined by their American counterparts as both nations took time out to mark the success of the center, which has trained an amazing TWO generations of German Air Defenders.
In addition to their military accomplishments, countless family members have also come to Bliss over the years and have left their mark through charitable work and sharing their culture.
The unit will officially close its doors June 30. Be sure to say goodbye to our German friends before then!
