• The Transition Center (Contractor - Army Only) performs separation and pre-retirement services for Soldiers (Active, Guard, and Reserve components).
  • The office produces an individualized DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty). During your DD 214 worksheet appointment provide source documents for any discrepancies to your military education, awards, military occupational specialty (MOS), time in service, overseas duty, deployments, and any other issues. Contacting the Transition Center at least one month prior to separation will lead to an accurate snapshot of your military career on this potentially life-time benefit-linked document.
  • The Transition Center also provides desk side Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) counseling for retiring Soldiers, spouses and provides estimated retirement pay computations and SBP premium cost assessments.  Additional services provides Retirees with a Retirement Flag, and Retirement Certificates for the Retiree and Spouse.
  • Army Nation Guard and Reservists must contact the Stuttgart Transition Assistance Program Center (AKA “Stuttgart TAP Center” - formerly “SFL-TAP”) immediately upon arriving to the Stuttgart Military Community.

Due to COVID-19, the Transition Center is providing most services remotely and can be reached through the office numbers listed on this page.
