Mission
The mission of Army Counterintelligence (CI) is to detect, identify, neutralize, and exploit the foreign intelligence and international terrorist threat against U.S. Army personnel, facilities, equipment, information, automations, and equities. We best achieve this by providing tailored CI support to our supported organizations. NOTE: Annual CIAR training requirements can now be completed online. Search for “Counterintelligence Awareness and Reporting for DoD Employees” – CI116.16, located at https://www.cdse.edu/, to satisfy Army annual training requirements. Follow the guidance provided by your chain of command. Face to face CIAR training provided by Army CI Special Agents is still required for personnel that fit special categories IAW Chapter 5, AR 381-12. See your unit security office for more information.
