LTC Jeffrey D. Murphy

Lieutenant Colonel Jeff Murphy is a Colorado native and graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2006, commissioning as an Aviation Officer.  His first assignment was as a Cavalry Trooper in Pegasus Troop, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Cavasos, TX. He served as a Platoon Leader, Troop Executive Officer, and Squadron Operations Officer and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) 08-09 and Operation New Dawn (OND).

 

After completing the Aviation Captain’s Career Course, LTC Murphy took command of D. Co 1-14th Aviation Regiment at Fort Novosel, AL. Following command, he was assigned to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, where he held various leadership and command positions.  These included Troop Commander, Operations Officer, Deputy Squadron Commander, and Joint Task Force Operations Officer. 

 

LTC Murphy is a graduate of the Naval War College in Newport, RI, where he received a master’s degree in strategic studies. He is a Master Aviator and is qualified as an Instructor Pilot and Maintenance Test Pilot in the AH-64D and E model helicopters. He is also qualified on multiple other military and civilian rotary wing platforms.

 

LTC Murphy has earned various awards and decorations commensurate with his positions of responsibility and time of service, including the Bronze Star Medal (2OLC), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2OLC), the Combat Action Badge, Master Army Aviator Badge, Air Assault Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Military Free Fall Parachutist Badge.  He is also the recipient of the Order of St. Michael (Silver Award).

Command Sergeant Major Troy L. Bolin grew up in Windsor, CO and graduated high school in 1999. He enlisted in the Navy in 2001 and transferred to the Army in 2004 as a 15Q Air Traffic Controller.
 
CSM Bolin’s previous assignments include: Crash and Salvage Crewman CVN-72 USS Abraham Lincoln, Everett, WA; ATS Tower Specialist D Co 164th Aviation Regiment, Camp Humphrey’s Korea; C3 Air AC2 NCO, 18th Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, NC; Detachment NCOIC Troy municipal Airport C Co 1-11th Aviation Regiment Troy, AL; Platoon Sergeant 8th US Army G3 Air Yongsan, Korea; ATS Examiner/QA, A Co 1-11th Aviation Regiment, First Sergeant B Co 1-11th Aviation Regiment Fort Rucker, AL; First Sergeant F Co 3-25 General Aviation Support Battalion Wheeler, HI; First Sergeant C Co 2-6 Cavalry Squadron Wheeler, HI; Student USASMA Class 73 Fort Bliss, TX; Operation Sergeant Major HHC 3CAB Hunter AAF, GA. He has served in Operation Southern Watch, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Tsunami relief Sri Lanka.
 
CSM Bolin has completed all levels of NCO Professional Military Education through the Sergeants Major Course (Class 73). He studied his bachelor’s in business administration at Kaplan University, Master of Science in Management/Leadership at Kaplan University and Doctor of Strategic Leadership at Regent University.
