LTC Brian C. Walker

Battalion Commander

Lieutenant Colonel Brian Walker graduated from West Point with a degree in History and was commissioned into the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 2005. He also holds Master’s degrees from the Naval War College and the School of Advanced Military Studies.
LTC Walker’s previous assignments include Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in A/BSTB, 4TH BDE 101ST, Fort Campbell, KY. After Maneuver Captains Career Course, he returned to Fort Campbell, serving as a Planner, then commander of the 511th EN CO and HHC of the 326TH EN BN before moving to Fort Irwin, California as a Company and Battalion Staff Trainer on the Sidewinder Team. As a Major, LTC Walker served 1ST Cavalry Division Planner and 3RD Brigade Engineer Battalion S3/XO, Fort Hood (now known as Fort Cavazos) TX, and then in the Program Integration Branch of the Office of the Chief of Engineers in Washington DC. Before command, LTC Walker was assigned as Deputy G3, 3ID.
LTC Walker’s professional military education includes the Engineer Officer Basic Course, Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, the Naval War College, Air Assault, Pathfinder, and the School of Advanced Military Studies. 
LTC Walker’s awards and decorations include the Combat Action Badge, the Bronze Star Medal (2OLC) and the Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), and the Army Commendation Medal (3OLC).



CSM Neal P. Feldmann

Battalion Command Sergeant Major

CSM Neal P. Feldmann is a native of Southern, Illinois and entered the United States Army at Fort Leonard Wood, MO as a 12B, Combat Engineer.

CSM Feldmann’s assignments include the 14th Engineer Battalion, Fort Lewis, WA; 44th Engineer Battalion, Camp Howze, Korea; 41st Engineer Battalion, Fort Drum, NY; Cleveland Recruiting Battalion, Cleveland, OH; 2nd BSTB 10th Mountain Division and 2-10 Aviation Battalion (Pathfinders), Fort Drum, NY; Counter Explosives Hazards Center, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; 7th Engineer Battalion Fort Drum, NY; HHBN 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Red Cloud, Korea; NCOLCoE (USASMA), Fort Bliss, TX; CSM Feldmann’s last assignment was at the Combat Engineer Skills Division, 35th Engineer Battalion, Fort Leaonard Wood, MO where he served as the Chief Instructor for all 12B/C Advanced Individual Training.

CSM Feldmann has held numerous positions throughout his career including Team Leader, Squad Leader, Recruiter, Instructor Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, Battalion Operations Sergeant Major, 2ID G37 Sergeant Major and Chief Instructor.  CSM Feldmann is a graduate of Basic, Advanced and Senior Leaders courses, Armorer School, Combat Lifesaver Course,  Army Recruiting Course, Explosive Ordinance Clearance Agent Course, Pathfinder Course, Joint Firepower Controller Course,  R2C2 Operator and Leader Courses,  Advanced Search Course, Area Clearance Course, SOC Humanitarian Demining Course, the Counter-Explosive Hazards Planners Course,  SHARP Foundational Course, the Master Resiliency Trainers course, Army Basic Instructors Course, ALMC Small Group Instructor Course,  Battle Staff NCO course, First Sergeant Course, Capabilities Development Course, and the Sergeants Major Academy Class 69. CSM Feldmann has completed deployments to Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan.  CSM Feldmann holds a BA in Psychology and a MS in Criminal Justice.
