Command Sgt. Maj. Michael J. Resmondo, 128th Aviation Brigade

Command Sgt. Maj. Michael J. Resmondo is a native of Foley, Alabama, and enlisted in the Army National Guard in June 1994 transitioning to the Active Army in July 1995 as a utility helicopter mechanic.

He attended basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, in 1995, and attended the UH-1 course at Fort Rucker, Alabama, and the UH-60 course at Fort Eustis, Virginia, in 1996.

Resmondo has served in every leadership position from squad leader to command sergeant major. He is a graduate of Excelsior College with a Bachelor of Science.

His assignments and deployments include, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Fort Rucker; Montgomery Recruiting Battalion with duty in Pensacola, Florida, and Spanish Fort, Alabama; Fort Wainwright, Alaska; Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia; Fort Bliss, Texas; Camp Stanly, Korea; and deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Resmondo’s military education consists of the Aviation Life Support Equipment Course, the Instructor Course, the Army Recruiter Course, Master Resiliency Course, Company Safety Course, Air Assault Course, and all levels of NCOES including USASMA class 67.

Resmondo’s awards and decorations include the, Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal w/C, Meritorious Service Medal (3rd Award), Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), the Army Achievement Medal (5th Award), Master Aircrew Member Badge, Air Assault Badge, Gold Recruiter Badge (3 sapphires) Gold Recruiter Ring, and Glenn E. Morrell Recruiting Medallion.
