_DSC0883 copy 2.jpgThe 80th Training Command (The Army School System) has a force of over 6,000 Army Reserve Soldiers and 270 Civilians authorized to 85 units across 37 states nationwide, including synergistic relationships with institutional training units in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Germany.

Each year, the 80th TC conducts nearly 1,700 courses, training approximately 47,000 military and civilian personnel in support of U.S. Army Reserve Command and TRADOC objectives. The command delivers instruction across 12 Career Management Fields (CMFs) within operations, operational support, and force sustainment.

TASS Training Center – Fort Hunter Liggett (TTC-FHL):

TTC-FHL supports the 102nd Training Division (MS) by providing logistical, administrative, and facilities support for instructors, course managers, and students. Our goal is to ensure the successful execution of the Army Program for Individual Training (ARPRINT) under the 80th Training Command. Currently supporting Military Occupational Specialty Reclassification (MOS-T), Advanced Leader Course (ALC), and Senior Leader Course (SLC) for the following specialties:

  • 12N – Horizontal Construction Engineer
  • 88M – Motor Transport Operator
  • 31B – Military Police

ARRIVAL
Privately Owned Vehicle (POV):
 Students that are driving (POVs) are required to contact their course manager prior to departing their home unit for training. Students are required to have a current drivers license, proof of insurance, valid registration, upon entry to the main gate. All students must report to Building 3300, 7th Division Road, TASS Training Center no later than 1700 hours on their scheduled reporting date. Those arriving after 1700 must immediately notify their course manager.

Air Travel: Students are required to fly into San Jose International Airport (Airport code: SJC). Arrival or departure from any other airport with be the responsibility of the student’s unit. Upon arrival at San Jose International Airport, go to the information booth in the baggage claim area. Inform the attendant that you are a student going to Fort Hunter Liggett and you need to report to the Military Lounge for a contracted bus. Students must NOT board Monterey Salinas Transit (MST) bus lines. There may be school signs providing details. The scheduled bus departs SJC at 1900 hours on the reporting date; students should confirm the latest schedule with their course manager.

DEPARTURE

Privately Owned Vehicle (POV): Students that are driving (POVs) are required to contact their units prior to departing from their graduation. The course manager will release students no earlier than 0500 hours on the designated departure day.

AIR: Students are required to out of San Jose International Airport (Airport code: SJC). Departure flights must be scheduled no earlier than 1000 hours, and students will be transported to SJC from Fort Hunter Liggett via contracted bus at no cost. Transportation to other airports is the responsibility of that student’s unit.

Medical Information  
Students attending training at Fort Hunter Liggett must bring a sufficient supply of all required medications to last the duration of their stay. There is no on-site medical treatment facility available, and routine medical care is located approximately one hour away. Students who rely on prescription medications should consult their course manager in advance to ensure their prescriptions will not interfere with graduation requirements. Additionally, those who require powered medical equipment must be prepared for potential power outages, which may last several hours. It is strongly recommended that students bring battery backups or alternative power sources to maintain the functionality of essential medical devices throughout the training period.
