Post Access:
In accordance with Army Directive 2014-05, all non-DOD ID cardholders must be escorted during their entire time at all Army installations or be vetted by the Police Department for non-escorted access. To obtain credentials for non-escorted access, the Police Department will run a background check through the FBI National Crime Database. All adult visitors must have a REAL ID, passport or other acceptable IDs. Once favorably vetted, individuals will be issued credentials allowing them access to Fort Hunter Liggett. The credentials must be kept with the individual at all times.
The Trusted Traveler Program
Trusted Traveler is in effect. A DoD ID cardholder may vouch for their vehicle occupants 18 years and older for installation access. Trusted Traveler Sponsors cannot vouch for persons with foreign passports or ID cards.
Please keep in mind, our Security Guards and Police may require a 100% vehicle occupant identification check at any time for various reasons. DoD ID cardholders need to ensure any occupants in their vehicle have their identification on them at all times. When entering any Installation Access Control Point, ensure you follow the orders of the security personnel.
Trusted Traveler Sponsors will have their sponsorship privileges immediately revoked for failing to comply with any order by Security Personnel at the Access Control Point, to include the request to present 100% identification of all passengers.
