The Fort Hood Civilian Leadership Development Program (CLDP) began in 2009 with a Program of Instruction (POI) focused on developing basic leadership and management skills. In 2017, CLDP Phase II was introduced, offering an advanced curriculum aimed at mid-level and senior civilian leaders. This phase builds on the foundational skills taught in Phase I and includes in-depth training on strategic thinking, advanced communication, and leadership in complex environments. Since its inception in 2009 over 700 employees have successfully completed the program.

The Civilian Leadership Development Program Phase I primary objective is to provide a comprehensive overview of Garrison operations through interactive discussions with Garrison Directors, Office Chiefs and Supervisors, culminating in team building exercises and a Capstone Project that focus on developing self-awareness, networking skills and basic leadership competencies required for the transformational leader.

Eligibility: CLDP Phase I is open to all DA Civilians, all grades. Must submit an approved registration form, along with a current copy of your IDP.

Class Location: All classes will be held in the Copeland Soldier Service Center, Room A-311.

Selection Priority: Class size is limited to 25 students (first come, first serve).
