Command Sgt. Maj. Brian M. Michaud

Command Sergeant Major Brian M. Michaud is a native of Chapman, Maine and he enlisted in the Army in July 2001 as an Infantryman and attended Infantry OSUT at Fort Benning, GA.

CSM Michaud’s stateside assignments include M249 Gunner and Team Leader 3-325 AIR Fort Bragg, NC; Team Leader and Squad Leader 4-23 INF Fort Richardson, AK; Observer Controller Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) Fort Polk, LA; Platoon Sergeant 2-502 INF Fort Campbell, KY; Senior Drill Sergeant 3-10 INF Fort Leonard Wood, MO; Platoon Sergeant and First Sergeant 2-325 AIR Fort Bragg, NC; Senior Military Instructor Austin Peay State University Clarksville, TN; Operations Sergeant Major 1-502D IN Fort Campbell, KY; and Command Sergeant Major of 2nd Battalion 4th SFAB Fort Carson, CO. He has deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan for combat operations.

CSM Michaud’s military education includes Airborne School, Combatives Level I and II, the Basic Leader Course, the HAZMAT Course, the Observer/Controller Course, the Advanced Leaders Course, the Visual Tracker Course, the Air Assault School, the Basic Instructor Course, Drill Sergeant School, the Master Resiliency Trainer Course, the Senior Leader Course, Ranger School, the Army Equal Opportunity Leaders Course, the Jumpmaster Course, the Common Faculty Development and Instructor Course, the Senior RTOC Pre-Command Course, and the Sergeants Major Academy. His civilian education includes a Bachelors Degree in Leadership and Workforce Development from CGSC.

CSM Michaud’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (3OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (10OLC), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (6OLC), and the Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award). He has also earned the Ranger Tab, Drill Sergeant Badge, the Master Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Expert Infantryman Badge, and Ecuadorian Jump Wings.
