Deputy to the Garrison Commander J. Scott Enlow
J. Scott Enlow is the deputy to the garrison commander at U.S. Army Garrison Alaska, Fort Greely.
A native of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, he entered the United States Army in February 2001. He retired from active-duty January 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in combat.
He served in several leadership positions during his time as a Military Police Non-Commissioned Officer, holding most dear his time as a squad leader in Afghanistan. After retiring Mr. Enlow continued service as a Supervisory Sheriff's Deputy, Special Deputy to the United States Marshals, Department of the Army (DA) Supervisory Police Officer, DA Deputy Chief of Police, DA Chief of Police, and as the Deputy Director of Emergency Services. His current position as DGC, USAG Fort Greely started August 2023.
His relevant military and civilian education included the USAMPS Protections Integration Course, IMCOM Director of Emergency Services course, IMCOM Deputy Director of Emergency Services course, IMCOM Garrison Pre-Command Course, and required Civilian Education System, Foundation through Advanced course. Scott also completed Continuing Education for Senior Leaders He was selected as an Army Civilian Career Management Agency City/ County Manager Senior Fellow for fiscal year 2025, which continued into fiscal year 2026.
His awards and decorations includes the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC), Meritorious Unit Commendation (2 OLC), NATO Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), Afghanistan Campaign Medal (2 Campaign Stars), Iraq Campaign Medal (2 Campaign Stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (numeral 5), Combat Action Badge, USAF Security Police qualification badge senior, German Marksmanship Badge Silver, and the Order of the Combat Spur.
He is married to his wife Dion and they currently reside in North Pole. They have three children: Emma, Ezekiel, and Elijah.
Emma graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. degree and is in her first year of Law School at Oklahoma City University. Zeke is attending University of Alaska Fairbanks for Computer Engineering, B.S. Elijah plays football at North Pole High school and will graduate in 2027.
