The Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (the Avengers) plans, prepares, and executes current operations; future planning; personnel, informtion, and industrial security; and airfield operations in order to enhance Soldier readiness and force protection in Area IV.
To provide the suppoort required for the development and protection of Soldiers, Civilians, and Family members of the Area IV community to achieve USAG Daegu objectives through adaptive, innovative, and rugged professionals focused on readiness, leader development, and the well-being of USAG Daegu and Area IV.

The Plans & Operations Branch coordinates and synchronizes day-to-day and future operations for the garrison while maintaining situational awareness across the entire installation and area of responsibility (Area IV). It also provides technical expertise and leadership to ensure quality, timely and accurate collection and reporting to higher, adjacent and subordinate headquarters using classified and unclassified systems. The branch receives, analyzes, recommends and disseminates timely and appropriate resources to internal and external requests for manpower, equipment and or services (e.g ceremonial equipment, facility reservations, etc.).
Visual Information Service Center (VISC)
U.S. Army Garrison Daegu's Visual Information Center operates Department of Army Photo Lab and provides audio and video support for garrison and unit events. All requests (for audio visual support or equipment check out) must be submitted using the Visual Information Ordering Site ✪. The first time you use the system, you will have to register using your Common Access Card. The Visual Information Support Center (VISC) provides DA photos, command photos, and passport photos for AREA IV DOD ID cardholders.
Emergency Management's mission is to save lives, minimize the loss of resources, and maintain operational capability during an all-hazard emergency in the U.S. Army Garrison Daegu footprint. This is accomplished by providing service members, U.S. and host nation civilian employees, and their family members the education and support to prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural and man-made disasters.
The Antiterrorism Office (ATO) manages installation defense by analyzing, collecting and disseminating threat-related information to the U.S. Army Garrison Daegu community. The ATO hosts and conducts meetings with civil-military partnership to combat and defend against known threats. The ATO also increases antiterrorism awareness with a sound education program, publication bulletins, press releases and other multimedia media sources.
The Airfield Division provides exceptional airfield and air traffic control services that enhances USAG Daegu 's ability to shape the environment and prevent conflict across Area IV.
Please note privately owned unmanned aerial vehicles, or UAVs, and/or drones are not authorized to be flown over any U.S. Army installations.
The DPTMS Security Division provides security support to all garrison and non-mission government, military, and contractor personnel in U.S. Army Garrison Daegu. The Security Office ensures that appropriate personnel have been vetted and cleared for accessions, employment, deployment, information systems access, facility access, and other mission requirements. The Security Office is also responsible for protecting classified/sensitive information, fingerprinting, security badge issue, and foreign service briefs/debriefs.
