As well as to provide a comprehensive and integrated emergency management system that coordinates community resources to protect lives, property and the environment through mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery from all natural and man-made hazards that may impact our Installation, USAG Daegu community, and the United States Army.

Physical Security Mission

The mission of the USAG Daegu Physical Security Section is to protect the lives, property and environment of the Soldiers, Civilians and Family Members of Area IV. This mission is accomplished through a comprehensive Physical Security Plan, which works in conjunction with the Installation Anti-Terrorism Plan.Physical Security oversees Contract Security Guards that control access to the active gates, Enhanced Security Pedestrian Gates (ESPG), and can respond to additional gates. Additionally, Physical Security overseas 3 Pass and Registration Offices and 3 Vehicle Registration Offices that provide services to customers that need access to the installation for a wide variety of purposes.

 

Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) Shipments

U.S. Military assets are responsible for the transport and delivery of AA&E shipments within the Korean theater. Please direct any questions about installation access and points of delivery for AA&E within Area IV to the 25th Trans Bn Mobility Officer at 763-4994.

The mission of the United States Army Garrison Daegu Fire and Emergency Services is to protect the lives, property and environment of the Soldiers and Community of Area IV and Partnering Communities while supporting the Vision of IMCOM and the 19th ESC and their unique mission. We will respond as an all hazards emergency response agency to natural and man-made disasters, provide pre-hospital medical care and reinforce prevention through education as a proactive partner within the Greater Area IV community.

The USAG Daegu Fire and Emergency Services will be a premier all hazards response agency in the Greater Area IV Community and the Department of Defense; through cooperative community outreach programs, leading-edge strategy,accessibility, decisive leadership and sustainable utilitarian programs. In doing this we will evolve and as a model organization, mentor those we partner with by aligning how we do business, and become the gold standard of our profession and the services provided.

Military Police Law Enforcement Mission
To protect life and property of military and civilian personnel in Area IV, while providing professional installation security and law enforcement services, constantly considering the complexities of our host nation's environment.

The Military Police Operations section is responsible for the daily operations of law enforcement patrols, emergency response dispatching and the Military Police station. These functions include:

Military Police Patrols are responsible for enforcing all laws, regulations and policies; deterring crime through alert patrolling; responding to calls for assistance; assisting stranded motorists; and promoting a positive image of USAG Daegu/Area IV.

The Military Police Desk is responsible for receiving, coordinating and dispatching all emergency responders to an incident on USAG Daegu/Area IV. The Military Police Desk also assists individuals with general information requests.
