Sgt. Maj. Judith Ann Rocha

Sgt. Maj. Judith Ann Rocha was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, in September of 1982, and moved to California at the age of 3, where she remained until her enlistment into the United States Army in April of 2005.

She attended Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Advanced Individual Training for Motor Transport Operator (88M) at Fort Bliss, Texas; and Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia. She completed all trainings in September 2005, respectively. She subsequently entered the Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (51C) military occupational specialty in 2014.

Rocha’s assignments include 725th Support Battalion, Anchorage, Alaska; 725th Support Battalion, Sharana, Afghanistan; 725th Support Battalion, Salerno, Afghanistan; 58th Transportation Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; 735th Acquisition Contingency Contracting Team, Mission Installation Contracting Command, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; 414th Contracting Support Brigade, Vicenza, Italy; Special Operations Command Africa (SOCAF) Headquarters, Stuttgart, Germany; 410th Contract Support Brigade, Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; and Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) HQ, G3 SGM.

She has served as a heavy vehicle driver, team leader, squad leader, instructor/writer, contracting NCO, contracting support plans and operations (CSPO) NCO, regional contracting office (RCO) NCOIC, field ordering officer (FOO) program manager (PM), contracting team NCOIC, contingency contracting officer, Regional Contracting Center (RCC) NCOIC and brigade senior enlisted adviser.

Rocha’s military education includes Warrior Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Master Leader Course, Sergeant Major Course, U.S. Army Acquisition Basic Course,

U.S. Army Acquisition Intermediate Course, CREW Master Gunner Course, SHARP foundational Course, Equal Opportunity Course, Master Driver Course, Army Basic Instructor Course, Cadre Training Course and SEJMPE I. She holds a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II Certification in contracting.

Her civilian education includes a Master of Arts in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Incarnate Word, a Bachelor of Science in liberal arts from Excelsior College and an Associate’s of Arts from Pierce College. She has also successfully completed the United States Army Airborne, Air Assault and Pathfinder schools.

Rocha’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, Joint Service Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, Army Commendation Medal with six oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Unit Commendation with two oak leaf clusters and the Army Good Conduct Medal with five oak leaf clusters.
