Command Sergeant Major Alex Kupratty
4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson
Command Sergeant Major Alex Kupratty enlisted in the U.S Army as an Infantryman on May 17, 1997. He attended Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Moore, Georgia, and has since served in every leadership position from Team Leader to Command Sergeant Major.
His previous assignments include the 1st Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, HAAF, GA; Regimental Special Troops Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Ft. Moore, GA; 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Ft. Moore, GA; 75th Ranger Regiment HQ, Ft. Moore, GA; 3rd Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, Schofield Barracks, HI; 2nd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, JBLM, WA; and 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 11th Airborne Division, JBER, AK.
CSM Kupratty deployed multiple times throughout his career, supporting operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and Freedom’s Sentinel. He is a graduate of the following military courses: RASP 1; Basic Airborne Course; Ranger School, Jumpmaster School, Pathfinder School, Military Mountaineer Course, SERE Level C, Cold Weather Orientation Course, and each level of non-commissioned officer professional development including the Joint Special Operations Forces Enlisted Academy.
His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, Meritorious Service Medal with one Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal with one Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Expert Infantryman Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, Ranger Tab, Master Parachutist Badge and Pathfinder Badge.
