Welcome to the Carlisle Barracks Visitor Center
Unescorted visitors coming to Carlisle Barracks, who do not have a Federal government-issued identification card, will be vetted through the National Crime Information Center Interstate Identification Index (NCIC-III). This is the Army's baseline background check for entrance onto Army installations for those who are 18 and over, without a CAC or Military ID.
Personnel with a common access card (CAC card), Military ID, Military Dependent ID, or an issued Installation Access Control pass will not be affected. If you are sponsored by someone at Carlisle Barracks, contact that person for escort or guidance.
Starting January 30, this year, federal agencies and nuclear power plants may not accept for official purposes driver’s licenses and state IDs from a noncompliant state/territory without an extension. This will affect visitors to Carlisle Barracks.
DoD identification cards meet the enhanced ID requirements.
Visitors who do not hold DoD ID cards, nor an enhanced driver ID from another state, will be asked for a secondary form of identification, the list of acceptable forms of ID can be found HERE
