Lyster Army Health Clinic

Lyster Army Health Clinic  is located at the home of Army Aviation on Fort Rucker, Alabama, and serves about 17,500 patients, including permanent-party Soldiers, Soldiers attending short-term schools, foreign Soldiers, family members, and retirees and their family members.

Lyster employs about 300 staff members made up of Soldiers, civilians and contractors. The busiest section of the clinic is the pharmacy, which fills nearly 30,000 prescriptions per month.

Patients needing specialty care, such as surgeries, or consultations not provided within the clinics, are referred to the surrounding network. Providers work closely with network specialists to ensure their patients receive the best care possible.

Active-Duty Sick Call

AIT, WOCS, Flight Students:  Report to the TOMS Clinic located at Lyster Army Health Clinic. Formation time is 5:45 a.m. at the front entrance of Lyster.

For Permanent Party: For Acute Illness (symptoms starting within the last 72 hours): ​​​​​Call the Lyster Appointment Line at 1-800-261-7193 between 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. to request a same-day appointment.

For Ongoing, Recurring, or Chronic Concerns: Call the Lyster Appointment Line at 1-800-261-7193 to schedule a future appointment with your Primary Care Manager (PCM).

For All Soldiers on Flight Status: The Flight Surgeon of the Day (FSOD) is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. –11:00 a.m.

Walk into the Primary Care Clinic and check in at the kiosk to be seen by the FSOD.

Pharmacy

Activating New Prescriptions. Use Q-Anywhere remote activation to avoid waiting in the clinic. Patient will be notified by text when medication is ready for pickup.  Or you can visit the clinic in person, pull a ticket and wait until your prescription is filled.

Lt. Col. Ryan H. Allred

LTC Ryan H. Allred is a native of Hickory, North Carolina. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2014. Sergeant Major Garret D. Cleland is a native of Andalusia, Alabama.  He joined the United States Army on May 31, 2007 and completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, Georgia as a member of the 2nd Battalion, 47th Infantry Regiment.
