MVISC has limited portable sound systems available for loan. Portable sound systems have the capability to reach approximately 200 people in an indoor or outdoor environment. Systems include two wireless handheld microphones, speaker stands and cable. Some systems also include built in additional options such as CD player, USB, SD card, Bluetooth and AUX capabilities. Upon request MVISC also has limited AUX cables, Ceremonial Music CD’s and small table top microphone stands (available in limited quantities with system loan).
To request a system for your event you will need to submit in a work request within VIOS (https://vios-east.army.mil), as well as sign a DA Form 3161 Request for Issue or Turn In Form (upon pickup of the system). Upon pickup MVISC staff will provide instruction on the basic setup and operation.
Sound systems support, for Battalion level events and below, may be obtained on a limited basis. Units may obtain a system (one system can be loaned out to each unit/activity at a time) available on a first come, first served basis, and may retain it for a period not to exceed (3) business days duration, per requestor/event. Organizations failing to return IAW established timelines may receive account suspension to ensure equitable utilization of limited resources.
Please note that DPTMS (located within Bldg. 101, HQ) will continue to provide support to ceremonies on Howze Field/Post Theater for installation and brigade level units and above. There are also sound systems available at The Landing, or the U.S. Army Aviation Museum, on a first come, first served basis as coordinated with owning organization.
