Col. Stacy L. King

Col. Stacy L. King is a Logistics Officer and most recently served as the Assistant Commandant at the U.S. Army Ordnance School. She is a 2025 graduate of the National War College with a Master’s degree in National Security Strategy. She enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1997 and was commissioned into the Transportation Corps through the Columbus State University ROTC program in Columbus, Ga, in 2003. 

Her previous assignments include: Platoon Leader and Executive Officer, 508th Transportation Company, and Commander, HHD, 765th Transportation Battalion, Fort Eustis, Va; Battalion Military Transition Team (MiTT) Transportation Advisor, Taji, Iraq; Assistant Operations Officer, 193rd Infantry Brigade and Commander, Foxtrot Company, 1-13th Infantry Regiment, Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Supply Management Officer, Deputy Support Operations Officer (SPO), Rear Detachment Commander, and Squadron S3, Regimental Support Squadron, 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas, with a deployment to Kalsu, Iraq; Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) Planner, Defense Coordination Element (DCE) Region IV, Atlanta, Ga; Field Services OIC, 8th Theater Sustainment Command (TSC), Fort Shafter, Hawaii; Brigade S4, 8th Military Police Brigade, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; Executive Officer, 8th Special Troops Battalion, Fort Shafter, Hawaii; Command Inspector General, 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Fort Hood, Texas; Corps Transportation Officer, V Corps, Fort Knox, Ky; and Battalion Commander, 5-306th Brigade Support Battalion, 188th Infantry Brigade, Fort Stewart, Ga.

Col. King’s military and civilian education includes the Transportation Officer Basic Course, Military Standard Transportation & Movement Procedures Course (MILSTAMP), Transportation Coordinators Automated Information Management Systems II Course (TC-AIMS II), Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, Joint Planners Course, Support Operations Course, Command and General Staff College, Inspector General Basic Course, Inspector General Advanced Course, and the Operational Contract Support Course. She also holds Master of Arts in Procurement and Acquisitions Management from Webster University.

Her military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (5 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Combat Action Badge, and the Inspector General Identification Badge.

She is the recipient of the Honorary Samuel Sharpe and Noble Patron of Armor awards.
