Fort Lee renamed for Buffalo Soldier, Medal of Honor recipient

Medal of Honor recipient Pvt. Fitz Lee was honored today during a ceremony renaming the installation after him. The ceremony, which took place at the U.S. Army Ordnance Training Support Facility, featured the unveiling of new signage displaying “Fort Lee,” which will be installed at all garrison access control points. Additionally, the Sustainment Gate was renamed Lee Gate, and Sustainment Avenue was changed to Lee Avenue.

Two games of FREE bowling and FREE shoe rental.  Tuesday Night Free Bowling is open to all ID cardholders on Fort Gregg-Adams. Lanes will be assigned based on availability. Preschool Story Hour

The Fort Lee Community Library hosts Preschool Story Time for preschool children every Wednesday, 10:30 - 11:30 am.  This hour includes story reading and making arts & crafts projects. Guest readers will sometimes be asked to join the staff in reading from the library's collection of books, and then the kids will do a craft activity related to the books being read. This event is free; there is limited seating availability, so please arrive early.

Army Community Services' Relocation Readiness Program holds an Overseas Brief every third Wednesday of the month, 1 - 3 p.m. at the Soldier Support Center in Room 125. This brief is a mandatory briefing for all Active Duty Service Members PCSing from Fort Gregg-Adams to OCONUS, including Alaska and Hawaii.

Enjoy a fun, family-favorite movie while splashing around in the pool on a warm summer evening. The Battle Drive Pool is hosting a screening of fun animated film, Zootopia, on Friday, July 18. Show up early for the "dive-in" for treasure at 7:00 p.m. The movie begins at 8:30 p.m. (start time to be adjusted for visibility at sunset). Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. All pool rules remain in effect.
