Command Sergeant Major Christopher L. Hill is a native of Florence, Texas, he enlisted into the Army in April 1997 as Human Resources Specialist.

He completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. CSM Hill has served in every leadership position from Squad Leader to Command Sergeant Major.

His stateside assignments include Fort Hood, Texas, Kansas City Recruiting Battalion, St. Louis, Missouri.

Military Entrance Processing Station, San Jose, California; Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G1, Pentagon; JRTC and Fort Polk G1 SGM, Fort Polk, Louisiana; Command Sergeant Major, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 1ST Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas.  His overseas assignments include Yongsan, South Korea and Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.  He has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Bagram, Afghanistan, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Ballad Air Base, Iraq, and Camp Arijana, Kuwait.

CSM Hill’s military education includes the Basic Leader Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course (DH), Army Recruiter Course, Combat Lifesaver Course, Air Assault School, First Sergeant Course, Leadership Team Awareness Course, Master Resiliency Trainer Course, and the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Class 69, Command Sergeant Major Development, and the Battalion CSM Pre-Command Course. 

His Civilian Education includes a Bachelor of Science from Grantham University and a Master of Science - Management from Excelsior College.

CSM Hill resides in El Paso, Texas and is married to the former Audrey Burnette.

They have three children, Layton (26), Gabrielle (19) and Braden (14).
