Colonel Justin E. Daubert
Colonel Justin Daubert, a native of Beaufort, South Carolina, was commissioned as an Infantry Officer upon graduating from Wofford College. He began his Army career in 2002 at Fort Benning with the Infantry Officer Basic Course, followed by his first assignment to the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vicenza, Italy.
As part of the 2-503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment, Colonel Daubert served as a Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, and Assistant Operations Officer. He deployed to Iraq in 2003 for Operation Iraqi Freedom I and to Afghanistan in 2005 for Operation Enduring Freedom VI.
Following the Infantry Captains Career Course, he took command of three separate companies. He first led L Company, 1-16th Infantry, 1ID, training Military Transition Teams at Fort Riley. He then commanded B Company, 1-28th Infantry, 1ID, deploying them to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom 09-11. His third command was B Company at the 5th Ranger Training Battalion.
Colonel Daubert’s key staff assignments include serving as Operations Officer for both the 5th Ranger Training Battalion and the Ranger Training Brigade. At Fort Bragg, he served in the 82nd Airborne Division as a Division Planner, and subsequently as the Battalion Operations Officer and Executive Officer for the 2-504th Parachute Infantry Regiment.
His senior-level assignments include Executive Officer to the Chief of the Office of Security Cooperation-Iraq and Brigade Executive Officer for the 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade, where he was instrumental in the unit's activation and its 2019 deployment to Afghanistan. From 2020 to 2022, he returned to Fort Benning to command the 1-50th Infantry Battalion, 198th Infantry Brigade. Following command, he was selected as the Enlisted Infantry Branch Chief at Human Resources Command.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval War College, Colonel Daubert earned a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies. He is currently the Chief of Staff for the Human Domain Directorate at Fort Knox, Kentucky. In the summer of 2026, he is slated to assume command of the Fort Benning Garrison.
