Access Control Points (Gates)

Please note the following changes to Gate traffic (updated on April 13):

#TrafficAlert: Gate updates, maintenance, and detours at Tower Barracks:

Tower Barracks Gate 1 (closest to the water tower) closure to vehicles began, March 17:

- Gate 1 is closed to all vehicle traffic. Drivers can use Gate 3 (nearest Bldg. 244 and Vehicle Registration) to access Tower Barracks.

- Pedestrian access at Gate 1 remains 24/7.

- Pedestrians will be redirected around the construction area along Vicksburg Street, Daly Street, Shiloh Avenue, and back to Wilbur Road. Temporary fencing will be installed to ensure pedestrian safety.

- Maintenance is expected to be completed by late-May

Tower Barracks Gate 6 (Visitor Center/traffic circle gate): The new campside barrier at Gate 6 is back open to traffic. Vehicles can now travel directly from Gate 6 to the camps or from Tower Barracks to the camps. 

 Gate 6 Reminder: From 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, Gate 6 is dedicated to construction and commercial traffic only. Please avoid accessing with a POV during this timeframe. Use alternate gates. Gate 3 is open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. For non-commercial visitor sign-in, please use Gate 3.

Reminder for Drivers: Allow extra time when entering or exiting the installation and follow posted speed limits and detours.
