What’s happening at Tower Barracks and Rose Barracks:

On-post events to check out:     

  • Open Mic Night at The Zone Cafe (Rose Barracks): July 18, 7:30-9 p.m. on July 18. Event is free and open to anyone.  
  • Vienna Awaits MWR Tour: July 19, cost is $119 for adults, $99 for children 12 and over, $79 for children 11 and under. Go to the “Wild Boar” to register or visit the calendar on the MWR website. 
  • Car Boot Sale (flee market): July 19, 10-11 a.m. at the library. Set up starts at 9 a.m. Events costs $5 in cash to sell, payable on the day of the event. Must be 18+ to sell. Register to sell at the Tower Barracks library or by email at usarmy.grafenwoehr.library@army.mil. 
  • Introduction to Rock Climbing: Tower Barracks Wild Boar Outdoor Recreation center, July 22 from 6-8:30 p.m. 
  • Army Community Service’s 60th Birthday: Come help us celebrate ACS’s 60th Birthday with cake, games, and refreshments throughout USAG Bavaria: 
    • July 23 at Tower Barracks, Building 244 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. 
    • July 24 at Army Community Service, Rose Barracks from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. 
    • July 25 at Bldg. 10A, Hohenfels from noon-2 p.m. 
    • July 25 at Bldg. 725 in Garmisch from 1-4 p.m.  
  • Exchange’s 130th Birthday Celebration: Come to the Tower Barracks Main Exchange and celebrate the Exchange’s 130th Birthday, Friday, July 25 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Kids balloon drop is at 11 a.m. Free cake and children’s activities! 
  • “Friday Night Remix” performance: Songs from across the decades with the Netzaberg Youth Center, July 25, 5 p.m. 
  • Battleground Bavaria Paint Ball, July 27, 12 p.m.- 4 p.m. at the Tower Barracks Wild Boar 
  • We are hiring! A Child and Youth Services hiring event will take place Tuesday, July 29 at Rose Barracks.
  • Vacation Bible School (VBS) will take place at Netzaberg Chapel, Aug. 4-8 from 9 a.m. to noon. 
  • Parenting Seminar: Aug. 5-8 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the Netzaberg Middle School Cafeteria.
  • Functional Fitness 2025 Tower Barracks Partner Throwdown: Register now for the Battle for Bavaria fitness competition, Aug. 9 at 9 a.m. at the Tower Barracks Field House.

  • Meet & Greet: July 29 at 3 p.m. at the Netzaberg Youth Center and July 30 at the Rose Barracks Youth Center.

Gate 9 Closure

Tower Barracks Gate 9 will be closed to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic for maintenance for one month starting Wednesday, June 25, at 8 a.m. To mitigate community disruption, Gate 7, near the Auto Care Center (Bldg. 442), will open on Wednesday and may be utilized for inbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic only. Please note, two forms of ID will be needed due to network connectivity limitations. Vehicles may also use Gate 6 to access the Camps or One Community Road. Expect delays due to increased traffic at Gate 6 and plan additional time for your commute.
