Command Sergeant Major Paul C. Jenkins
Command Sergeant Major Paul C. Jenkins is from Vacaville, California. Upon graduation from Vanden High School in 2000, he enlisted in the Army as an Airborne Infantryman.
His first assignment was with the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg. He served as a Scout and Fire Team Leader with 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment and deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM (03-04). Paul was then assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart where he served as a Company Sniper and Squad Leader with 1-64 Armor. Following a second deployment to Iraq, he became an Army Recruiter, serving as an ambassador to build relations with local schools, colleges, and communities. Hes then assigned to 2-25 Infantry at Schofield Barracks and deployed again as the Battalion Sniper Section Sergeant and Scout Platoon Sergeant in support of Operation NEW DAWN (10-11). Paul volunteered and was accepted to serve with the 3rd Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) as a Platoon Sergeant and First Sergeant at Fort Myer. Paul was then selected to lead the Enlisted Congressional Escort Program for the Office of the Chief of Legislative Liaison. After serving as the First Sergeant for the United Nations Command Honor Guard Company at Camp Humphreys, South Korea, he was selected as an Army Congressional Fellow in 2020. In 2021 SGM Jenkins was assigned as Military Legislative Assistant to Representative Sanford D. Bishop. Following the fellowship, Paul was selected to serve as the Legislative Advisor to the Sergeant Major of the Army.
His military education and training include Airborne School, Sniper School, Army Recruiting School, Battle Staff, Senior Leaders Course; he recently completed the Sergeant Major Course. He holds a B.A. in Intelligence Studies from American Military University and an MPS in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University.
Paul has served three combat tours. His awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (6 OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), Presidential Unit Citation, Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Citation, Army Superior Unit Award, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Parachutist’s Badge, Gold Recruiter Badge and the Army Staff Identification Badge.
He and his family live in Woodbridge. In his free time, Paul enjoys traveling, cooking and scuba diving.
