Command Sergeant Major Juan Pablo Jimenez

Command Sergeant Major Juan P. Jimenez is a native of El Paso, Texas.  He is currently serving as the Garrison Command Sergeant Major for Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville Alabama.  He served as the 1st Battalion, 62nd Air Defense Artillery out of Ft. Hood, Texas.  Composed of 7 Units within the Battalion Patriot and THAAD composite. He was the senior enlisted advisor to the Battalion Commander responsible for training, leading, developing, and motivating of over 600 Soldiers to include families.  

He enlisted into the United States Army in August 1993 as a Patriot Systems Operator/Maintainer. CSM Jimenez graduated from Basic Combat Training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and attended Advanced Individual Training at Ft. Bliss, Texas as a 24T Patriot Systems Operator/Maintainer, re-designated to 14E.  CSM Jimenez has served in every leadership position from Patriot Systems Operator, Patriot Conduct of Fire Console Operator, Patriot Systems Maintainer, Team Chief, Section Sergeant, Instructor/Writer, Recruiter, Platoon Sergeant, Detainee Compound NCOIC, Immediate Reaction Force NCOIC, First Sergeant, Operations Sergeant Major, and Command Sergeant Major.  

His stateside assignments include: 1st Battalion, 43rd ADA, 3rd Battalion, 6th ADA at Ft. Bliss, TX; 6th Brigade Recruiting Command, Phoenix Arizona; 3rd Battalion 4th ADA, Ft. Bragg, NC; 2nd Battalion, 43rd ADA, Ft. Bliss, TX; 1st Battalion 62nd ADA, Ft. Hood, TX. And the United States Sergeant Major Academy, Class 67. He is now the Command Sergeant Major for U.S. Army Garrison, Redstone Arsenal, Al.  

His overseas assignments include: 1st Battalion, 43rd ADA, Suwon/Osan, Korea, 508th Military Police Company, Camp Bucca/Camp Taji, Iraq; Delta/HHB, 5th Battalion, 7th ADA Kaiserslautern, Germany/Poland/Israel; 2nd Battalion, 43rd ADA, Qatar, and 1st Battalion, 62nd ADA, Kuwait.   

Command Sergeant Major’s education includes:  Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, Army Recruiting Course, Equal Opportunity Advisor Course, Total Army Instructor Course, Unit Prevention Leaders Course, Unit Movement Officer Course, Master Resiliency Trainer Course, 1SG/Commanders Course, and Battalion Pre-Command Coarse.  

CSM Jimenez holds a Bachelor of Science (cum laude) from Excelsior College, and a Masters in Leadership through the University of Texas at El Paso (suma cum laude). 

CSM Jimenez award include: The Bronze Star Medal; Army Meritorious Service Medal (3); Army Commendation Medal (6); Army Achievement Medal (8); Good Conduct Medal (8); National Defense Service Medal (2); Iraqi Campaign Medal (w/Bronze Service Star); Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (5); Overseas Service Ribbon (3); Army Service Ribbon, the Gold Recruiting Badge (3 Gold Stars, 3 Sapphires) and the German Proficiency Badge (Gold). He is also a recipient of the Order of St. Barbara Medal.

 CSM Jimenez is married to his wife Tabitha Jimenez and has one daughter Marissa (18) and one son Joshua (13).
