Winter Weather Alert: Fort Hamilton Community
A winter storm is expected to impact our area on January 19th and 20th, bringing significant snowfall and hazardous road conditions. Here's what you need to know:
- Sunday, Jan 19th: Cloudy and cold with a chance of snow and rain (63% chance of precipitation) and a high of 36°F. Evening snowfall of 2-4 inches expected, with roads and sidewalks becoming snow-packed and slippery.
- Overnight and Monday, Jan 20th: Mostly cloudy and breezy with a chance of light snow, and partly sunny on Monday morning with temperatures feeling like 10°F.
Garrison Services:
DFMWR (Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation): Weather conditions on Sunday will have minimal impact on DFMWR facilities.
Fitness Center/Gym will be closed for operations on Monday due to Federal Holiday Observance
AAFES is adjusting staffing levels on SUN, monitor social media for updated hours
Please note that all AAFES facilities will be closed on Monday.
Continue to monitor our social media/website for AAFES and DECA (Commissary) hours as they anticipate changes due to the inclement weather

- Use caution when walking or driving on slippery roads and sidewalks
