Local communities near that portion of Fort Gordon Range Training Complex may be exposed to loud noise. This is routine training. Do not be alarmed.

For all ID Cardholders and their families, Halloween Trunk-or-Treat is tonight, Friday, Oct. 30, from 6-8 p.m. on Barton Field, and “Drive-Thru Hallelujah Night”, is on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Chapel. Housing area residents may trick-or-treat in any post housing area on Saturday, Oct., 31 from 6-8 p.m. In all cases, candy distribution will be via tables for social distancing. Door-to-door trick-or-treating and candy bowls are not allowed this year. Halloween masks do not qualify as a protective mask, and six-foot social distancing between family groups must be maintained. Post officials want to remind community members there are strict regulations regarding firearms and other dangerous weapons. They must be used, registered, carried, stored, transported, and secured in accordance with the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence and Fort Gordon Regulation 210-13. For more information, read: https://go.usa.gov/x7bK3. (Note: Firearms and Other Dangerous Weapons as applicable must be registered with the military police using FG Form 9243-R-E. As stated on the form, signatories of this form certify that they will comply with the Domestic Violence Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968, Army regulations, local regulations and local and state laws on ownership, possession, registration, transportation and safe use of privately owned weapons and ammunition. It is very important to read the form and instruction sheet in its entirety. *** TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane closure at McKenna Gate (Gate 1) Eastbound ramp, Oct. 30 ***

On Friday, Oct. 30, from 6 a.m.-4 p.m., there will be a lane closure at McKenna Gate (Gate 1) in order to conduct storm drain repairs. The work conducted will reduce the ramp traffic from 2 lanes to 1 lane headed Eastbound on Gordon Highway. Please use caution, obey all traffic control devices and signage posted, and plan ahead to avoid delays.

*** Service Outage Advisory: DEER/RAPIDS system — expect delays, Oct. 26 ***

The DEERS/RAPIDS system is currently experiencing a worldwide outage. Due to this network interruption service efficiency has been greatly affected. Expect long delays and wait times for ID Card/CAC processing. It is unknown when CAC or ID card services will return to normal operations. Updates will follow as soon as there is a change in the status of this system. Thank you for your understanding and patience regarding this matter.
