Mission
The 401st Cyber Battalion trains Cyber and Electromagnetic Warfare Soldiers to Army and Joint standards, able to execute cyberspace and electromagnetic warfare operations in the evolving operational environment, while caring for our Soldiers, Civilians, and Families. The Battalion is responsible for training all Career Management Field (CMF) 17 Cyber and Electromagnetic Warfare Officers, Warrant Officers and Enlisted Soldiers in the United States Army, as well as select Cyber and Electromagnetic Warfare professionals across the Joint Force. The Battalion conducts training in accordance with TRADOC and CAC directives, to include rigorous tactical training events in austere environments in order to better prepare our Soldiers to fight and win in Multidomain Operations.

Headquarters & Alpha Co.
Headquarters and Alpha Company, U.S. Army Cyber School, activated on then Fort Gordon, Ga. in May 2015 and launched the first Cyber Basic Officer Leadership Course in August 2015
. On 6 October 2016, the Cyber Training Battalion (CTB) was activated to oversee the training for all Career Management Field 17 (Cyber) Soldiers. The Battalion was then reassigned under the 15th Signal Brigade in December 2016.
Bravo Company was activated in December 2016 to oversee the training of all 17C, cyberspace operations specialists. The activation of Charlie Company for the training of all 17E electromagnetic warfare (EW) Soldiers followed at Fort Sill, Okla. in January 2017. In July 2019, Detachment Corry Station activated in Pensacola, Fla. to facilitate phase one training for 17C Soldiers.
During 2019, the decision was made to consolidate all cyber and EW training onto Fort Gordon. This initiative completed in October 2021, first with the casing of Charlie Company’s guidon in December 2020 and the stand-down of detachment Corry Station in October 2021. The 17D and 170D capability developer career fields were also introduced in 2021.
In June 2022, Charlie Company uncased its guidon and assumed the mission of training all 17E EW Soldiers. On 13 October 2023, the CTB redesignated to the 401st Cyber Battalion.

Bravo Company provides Advanced Individual Training (AIT) to transform Soldiers into disciplined, physically fit, mentally prepared, tactically and technically competent Cyber Soldiers
ready to make an immediate impact to the Operational Army. The core functions of the battalion are to provide and support all aspects of training for Cyber MOS initial entry training Soldiers.
Incoming Enlisted Personnel
MOS-T Soldiers will report to Bravo Company, building 25701, located at the corner of Barnes Ave. and 25th Street, with your PCS Orders during duty hours. MOS-I Soldiers will report to the Bravo Company MOS-I Barracks, building 25720, on 29th Street with your PCS Orders.
