Legal Office
MISSION
The Dugway Command Judge Advocate assists Commanders in maintaining combat-ready forces to fight and win our nation's wars by providing timely, accurate, principled legal advice from dedicated, highly-trained legal professionals. We care for Soldiers, family members, Army civilians, and retirees by providing professional, values-based legal services at home station. We assist civilian Army action officers, supervisors, and managers in legally accomplishing mission objectives.
SERVICES:
- Administrative Law: Installation, personnel, EEO law, labor, contract, fiscal, environmental, and ethics advice to eligible personnel.
- Legal Assistance to Military ID Card Holders: Active duty and family members; retirees and their ID card holder family members; and limited assistance to Army civilian employees in a pre- or during deployment on CONUS leave or TDY status. This includes military public notaries for persons eligible for the assistance based on the military ID cards or official government business. We do not have a civilian notary at this time.
- Represent the U.S. Attorney’s Office in U.S. Magistrate’s Court for prosecution of Class B&C misdemeanors and infractions.
PERSONNEL:
- The office is normally a three attorney (2 assigned to ATEC) and one paralegal office.
