Garmisch Garrison Manager

Ms. Lee Butala assumed duties as the Garmisch, acting deputy garrison manager, for U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria in July 2024.

Ms. Butala was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. She earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Economics from Bloomsburg University in 2000. Later, in 2019, she completed her Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Maryland.

Prior to becoming the DGM, Ms. Butala served as the Financial Operations Chief at USAG Bavaria, Grafenwoehr, from 2022 to 2024. Prior to her overseas tour, she served as the Acquisition Program Manager for the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Center of Excellence in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her first assignment as a Department of the Army Civilian was within the Production Management Directorate at Tobyhanna Army Depot, Pennsylvania, back in 2008.

Lee enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family and is an outdoors enthusiast.
