Fort Sill is a premier U.S. Army installation located in southwestern Oklahoma, just north of Lawton and about 90 miles southwest of Oklahoma City.

The post supports the U.S. Army Fires Center of Excellence, including Field Artillery and Air Defense Artillery training, as well as basic training for approximately 20,000 trainees annually 14.
In-Processing: Fort Sill Reception
All Permanent Party Soldiers must report to the Reception Detachment at the Welcome Center, Building 4700 on Mow-Way Road:

After hours & weekends: Report to your assigned BDE (instructions posted at Building 4700 east entrance) 56

Report Requirements:
Bring a copy of your PCS orders and absence request
Sign in, complete digital forms, and receive instructions for mandatory briefings—usually within 3–5 days 76
New Soldiers (E1–E6) must have sponsors present; ranks O1–O3 also require sponsor for initial brief 7
Trainees (Basic Combat Training, AIT, ESL) report to the 95th Adjutant General Battalion Reception Station, Bldg 5052 on Rothwell Street. Those attending advanced courses or attending as students follow schedules from the Trainee Student Processing Branch (Bldg 4700) 68.
Housing & Temporary Lodging
Unaccompanied E5 and below: Provided temporary barracks on post.
E6 and above & families: Stay at Geronimo Lodge (IHG) – Bldg 5676; call 1‑877‑711‑8326 or (580) 442‑5000. If unavailable, a statement of non-availability enables off-post lodging reimbursement 369.
Off‑Post Housing
Report to the Housing Services Office in Building 4700, 3rd floor before leasing, buying, or renting:
Provides referrals, landlord mediation, fair housing info, SCRA guidance 1011
Operates weekdays, 0730–1600 911
