Mountain Pass Route

Take I-80 West to the Tooele/Grantsville exit (EXIT 99). Stay on SR36 South through the city of Tooele and the small town of Stockton.

NOTE:The last gas station before arriving at Dugway is in Stockton.
Once through the town of Stockton, continue along SR36 for approximately 6 miles to SR199. Turn right onto SR 199 and continue for approximately 25 miles, traveling through Rush Valley and over Johnson's Pass, through the Onaqui Mountains, to Dugway Proving Ground.

NOTE:This is open-range country; watch for cattle and horses. Also, watch for deer, antelope, jack rabbits, and other small game

Skull Valley Route

Take I-80 West and exit at Rowley Junction (Exit 77). Go south under the overpass and continue heading straight south for 37 miles on SR196 (Skull Valley Road). This road ends at the Main Gate of Dugway Proving Ground.
