The Fort Cavazos CLDP began in 2009 with a program of instruction (POI) concentrated on basic leadership and management skills. In 2017, CLDP Phase II was implemented with curriculum focused for current and future supervisors.

CLDP provides the civilian workforce the opportunity to participate in a structured leadership development program on the installation. Since inception, over 700 employees have successfully completed the program. In January 2011, CLDP was recognized as an IMCOM “Best Practice” and a Best Practice/Cost Avoidance in July 2013.

The CLDP arms our civilians with the tools and knowledge to manage a diverse workforce with constrained resources in an ever-changing environment.
