Fort Cavazos recognizes that personal problems such as substance abuse, marital or family stress, and other problems may affect the health, work performance, and conduct of Civilian employees. In accordance with Department of the Army directives, Fort Cavazos has a well-established Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for Civilian employees and their families.
Beyond services for families and retirees the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) also provides Civilian employees with a strictly confidential referral program to obtain assistance for problems that can affect their work performance, conduct or attendance. The program offers assessment, crisis intervention, short-term problem solving, community referral information, supervisory consultation, and follow up. In addition, the Fort Cavazos EAP program mentors and guides leaders and managers on how best to mold their sections into being the most productive and customer-oriented teammates for Fort Cavazos, the Army, and the surrounding areas.
