White Sands Missile Range employees recognized at Honors and Retirement Ceremony

Several White Sands Missile Range employees were recognized during an Honors and Retirement Ceremony April 30 at the Post Theater.

WSMR Commander Col. Andrew R. Morgan welcomed honorees to the recognition event.

“We are here today to recognize the accomplishments of our people,” Morgan said. “Today we focus on the branch of our efforts to harness your work towards the defense of our Nation, both at home and overseas.”

Randy James, a WSMR Firefighter, received the VFW Post 6917 and District Three 2026 Firefighter of the Year Award.

Morgan and WSMR Test Center Command Sgt. Maj. Stephen Sloane then handed out certificates for length of service awards ranging from 20 to 40 years of service, and Civilian Service Commendation Medals.
