Ensembles of the 399th Army Band
Marching and Concert Band
Our Marching Band includes 20-30 musicians and regularly supports ceremonial and community missions, changes of command, changes of responsibility, and parades all over the state. The ensemble has also been featured at several St. Louis Cardinals games and featured in the 2021 Bicentennial Parade in Jefferson City, MO. The Marching Band executes its marching, drill, and music with military precision, continuing the United States Army tradition.
Our Concert Band is a 30-40 piece ensemble that performs a wide variety of music; from marches to pop arrangements. The ensemble performs for large public concerts on major holidays and for local schools and universities. The Concert Band has performed side-by-side with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and at several schools and universities throughout Missouri.
Jazz Combo
Our jazz combo is a versatile group that performs vocal and instrumental music in various styles of jazz. They are perfect as background music for social events (i.e. military balls) or as a featured act for festivals.
Brass Quintet
The brass quintet performs varied repertoire ranging from classical to pop. Featuring two trumpets, horn, trombone, tuba, and a percussionist; they are perfect for nearly any military ceremony but equally at home in the concert hall.
Woodwind Quintet
This 5-piece woodwind ensemble is primarily an indoor performing ensemble for dinner parties, receptions, and ceremonies. The Ozark Winds are well-suited for clinics at schools and performances in the concert hall.
Rough Riders Rock Band
Playing everything from classic rock, pop, and country, the Rough Riders perform social events and festivals, on and off post. Our rock band always puts on a fun, family-friendly performance that any audience will enjoy.
